The project is based on two main themes: volumes and introspection. Two architectural boxes are one on top of the other, but do not overlap perfectly: the upper volume in grey stone slabs rest on the lower white box that makes it float. The internal space was conceived around the main idea of connected rooms, according to the inspirational principles of traditional Japanese architecture. Open spaces are linked together and connected by the main corridor that goes through as a spine: a guest, arriving from outdoor, will walk through the house from more public to more private, intimate and delicate areas, as long as he goes along it.
