MF House

1920's urban villa restoration.

The restoration project involved a suburban villa that was built during the ’20 and was guided by the idea of introducing contemporary spaces for a modern family inside an ancient shell with a new layout that has revolutionized the classic plan of a traditional house. The core of the house is the existing staircase that connects all the different floors: the spaces are dynamically climbing up this vertical connection almost as in an Escher’s drawing. This upward sense culminates with the open-air living room on the top floor featuring a small pool.
