Approaching the project of the restoration of an apartment inside an ancient Palazzo, the main guideline has been the preservation of the existing valuable elements and the original layout. The project mainly focused on the preservation works, careful choice of materials and design of contemporary details that could stay next to the ancient elements in a well-balanced manner. The general architectural atmosphere, warm and welcoming, is generated by the gentle contrast of old and new, dark and light while on the other hand, the furniture is very minimal and essential with a few color accents.
